Mountain Biking to Coroico

This deadly 35 miles stretch between La Paz and Coroico in Bolivia is estimated to claim the lives of 200-300 travelers every year. Keeping in mind, that this is just a single road, the death probability on this road is very high. On the other hand, this road has a very beautiful landscape view. According to wiki, the road was built in 1930s during the Chaco War by Paraguayan prisoners. Because of the extreme dropoffs up to 2,000 feet, single-lane width, and lack of guardrails, the road is extremely dangerous. Further still, rain and fog can make visibility precarious, the road surface muddy, and loosen rocks from the hillsides above.

THE DAY AT A GLANCE
Meeting at 07:30am in Café Alexander on the Prado, almost Plaza del Estudiante so we can get you organized for departure.We load your backpacks into our support vehicle. The drive up to La Cumbre (4.750m), the highest point on our ride, takes about an hour. 08:45am The English speaking guides will hold an extensive briefing and safety talk and answer questions you may have about the ride. After that we will started the tour, the first part is asphalt. At 11:00 Beginning the most dangerous part here are you have a snack and the guides explain again about that route. So continued down, pass for water fall and many attraction during the down. At 14:00pm we will arrived at the end of the bicycle tour, in La Senda Verde just past Yolosa, in this place you have a buffet lunch, take a shower and use of the pool. At 16:00pm we will returned to La Paz by same bus.
